Mitchell continued his regular season dominance into the playoffs, finishing #1 in rebounding, blocks, and assists, and #2 in points en route to a DC Evolution championship.

MVP: Kino Lilly – Landon

21.8 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 3.6 apg, 1.0 spg

Only a rising sophomore, Kino Lilly was the number 2 leading scorer in summer league with 196 points, helping Landon reach the playoffs with a 6-4 record.  Kino burst on the scene right from the jump, scoring 27 points in Landon’s season opening victory over Springbrook.  Kino also had two 30 plus point games, including a summer league high of 37 in a 25-point victory over Flint Hill.  Kino’s display of pull-up 3’s and stepbacks had all eyes on him every time he stepped on the court.  With Canin Reynolds by his side, Landon’s backcourt duo will be one of the best in the DMV moving forward.




Jay Heath Jr – DC Evolution

21.1 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 3.4 apg, 1.7 spg

62.4% FG, 42.9% 3FG, 61.3% FT


Jay Heath made it look easy all summer.  The Boston College commit was #5 in PPG for the league, while shooting an astounding 62% from the field, helping lead DC Evolution to an undefeated season and a league championship.  Aside from a 14-point performance against W.T. Woodson, Heath never scored less than 19 points in a game and had 5 20-plus point performances.


Nendah Tarke – Bullis

16.9 ppg, 8.1 rpg, 1.9 apg, 2.7 spg

51.2% FG, 24% 3FG, 58.7% FT


Tarke was a beast for Bullis this summer.  A walking double-double threat, Tarke had one of the more dominating performances of the summer in Bullis’ victory over Takoma Academy, putting up 19 points, 19 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals.  Nendah was constantly throwing down highlight dunks off the fast break, thanks in part to his league-high 27 steals.


Isaiah Gross – Greenbelt (Eleanor Roosevelt)

19.5 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 1.5 apg, 1.5 spg

51.4% FG, 37.2% 3FG, 74% FT


Gross was an absolute bucket-getter this summer for Greenbelt.  The high-flier  was #3 in total points for the summer, and #6 in PPG.  Gross had 4 games with 24-plus points, including a team-high 31 in a win over Paint Branch on 6/3.


Olivier Nkamhoua – Montgomery (RM)

17.2 ppg, 10.2 rpg, 1.7 apg, 1.5 bpg

52.8% FG, 26% 3FG, 60% FT


Nkamhoua made a name for himself this summer, putting up 6 double-doubles to lead RM into the playoffs.  Nkamhoua’s biggest game came on 6/23 against DeMatha, when he went for 30 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 blocks.  The Finnish import used an inside-out game to power through opponents, en route to a top 10 finish in total points for the league.


Makhi Mitchell – DC Evolution

14.4 ppg, 10.2 rpg, 4.3 apg, 2.4 bpg, 1.3 spg

70.3% FG, 41% FT


Mitchell was a stat-sheet stuffer this summer, finishing atop the league in total rebounds and total defensive rebounds, 5th in blocked shots, and 4th in assists.  Mitchell had one of the most impressive performances of the summer on 6/8, putting up 23 points, 16 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 blocks, and 8 steals.




Canin Reynolds – Landon

23.0 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 5.8 apg, 3.4 spg

46.9% FG, 26.5% 3FG, 77.8% FT


Dimingus Stevens – DC Evolution

18.7 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 2.1 apg, 1.1 spg
