Over the past two weekends, teams from all over the DMV participated in DMV Live, which is an event for players to showcase their skills in front of college coaches. A variety of teams from CHSL were featured in the event. There were two separate events, below are several players from CHSL that stood out in both sessions. *We used Cerebro Sports to analyze player performances and stats (more information on how to interpret data from Cerebro can be found here).

DMV LIVE 1

Prince-Alexander Moody, Bishop McNamara ‘26

  • vs Grace Brethren: 15 pt, 7 reb, 1 stl, 2 blk
  • vs Mount Carmel: 24 pt, 3 reb, 2 stl
  • vs Bullis: 14 pt, 4 reb, 1 ast
  • vs Archbishop Spalding: 14 pt, 7 reb, 2 ast, 1 stl, 2 blk
  • 19th in PPG, 25th in PSP

Moody has seen his recruitment blow up, deservingly so, as Moody possesses all the tools for a high major prospect. Moody is ultra athletic and is one of the better playmakers in the event with a smooth jumper, shooting 40 percent from three in the event. Moody is only a rising Sophomore, which makes him even more coveted, and projects well at the next level. Moody should be a key contributor on one of the better teams in the WCAC this upcoming year.

Martin Somerville, Bishop McNamara ‘24

  • vs Grace Brethren: 30 pt, 6 reb, 1 stl
  • vs Mount Carmel: 19 pt, 4 reb, 2 stl
  • vs Bullis: 15 pt, 3 reb, 3 ast, 1 stl
  • vs Archbishop Spalding: 16 pt, 5 reb, 4 ast, 1 stl
  • 12th in PSP, 11th in 3PE, 13th PPG

Somerville continued his impressive week 4 of CHSL into DMV Live Session 1, dropping 30 points in Bishop McNamara’s opening game. Somerville is Bishop McNamara’s primary ball handler, but can also score at a high level. Somerville is a sniper from behind the arc and does a good job of creating for himself off the dribble.

Elijah Adegbenro, Fairfax Christian ‘24

  • vs St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes: 20 pt, 10 reb, 2 stl, 2 blk
  • vs St. Mary’s Ryken: 14 pt, 10 reb, 2 stl
  • vs Dematha: 17 pt, 7 reb, 1 stl, 1 blk
  • vs St. Maria Goretti: 17 pt, 11 reb, 4 ast, 1 stl, 2 reb
  • T-16th in C-RAM, 10th in ATR, T-17th in total points

Adegbenro impacted the game on all levels for Fairfax Christian, showcasing his defensive prowess, averaging 1.5 steals and 1.3 blocks. Adegbenro is a lengthy forward, which helps him protect the rim and create havoc in passing lanes. Adegbenro is equally impressive on the glass, tallying nearly 40 rebounds in four games.

Ashton Meeks, DeMatha ‘26

  • vs St. Frances Academy: 8 pt, 2 ast, 3 stl
  • vs Paul VI: 19 pt, 3 reb, 2 ast, 4 stl
  • vs Highland School: 15 pt, 2 reb, 5 ast, 2 stl
  • vs St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes: 34 pt, 2 reb, 2 stl
  • T-7th in total points, T-6th in total steals, 1st in 3PM (20), T-4th in 3PE, T-12th in PSP

Meeks came into this event as one the better shooters and proved why. Meeks knocked down 10 threes against St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes, scoring 34 points in the effort. Meeks also went 5-of-10 for three against one of the best teams nationally, PVI. Meeks also can handle the ball for DeMatha and is one of Dematha’s best defenders, averaging 2.8 steals in DMV Live Session 1.

Malik Washington, Archbishop Spalding ‘25

  • vs St. Anne’s Belfield: 23 pt, 7 reb, 5 ast, 4 stl, 1 blk
  • vs Hargrave Military: 21 pt, 7 reb, 3 ast, 2 stl, 1 blk

Malik Washington (courtesy of Chris Souvenir)
  • vs Bishop McNamara: 17 pt, 11 reb, 4 ast, 2 stl
  • vs Highland School: 36 pt, 6 reb, 4 ast, 1 stl, 1 blk
  • 1st in PSP, 3rd in PPG, 5th in C-RAM

Washington had one of the most impressive performances in DMV Live Session 1, facing one of the top players in the area, Nate Ament, and scoring 36 points. Washington is an explosive athlete with great touch around the rim. While Washington holds multiple high major offers in football, Washington still produces at a high level on the court, averaging 24.3 points and 7.8 rebounds in DMV Live Session 1.

Caden Chinnia-Faline, John Carroll ‘25

  • vs St. Maria Goretti: 25 pt, 5 reb, 1 ast
  • vs Hargrave Military: 22 pt, 5 reb, 4 ast, 1 stl, 1 blk
  • 4th in PPG, 6th in C-RAM, 4th in PSP, 7th 3PE

Chinnia-Faline and Aidan Able have shown to be a lethal duo for John Carroll. Chinnia-Faline showcased his jump shot with 6 threes against Hargrave Military. Chinnia-Faline is only a rising junior and should draw major interest from college coaches.

Neiko Mundey, Good Counsel ‘26

  • vs Flint Hill: 21 pt, 3 reb, 4 ast, 7 stl
  • vs NC Good Better Best: 15 pt, 4 reb, 4 ast, 2 stl, 1 blk
  • vs Mount Carmel: 8 pt, 5 reb, 4 ast
  • vs St. Andrews: 28 pt, 4 reb, 3 ast, 4 stl
  • 8th in SPG, 19th in PPG

Mundey can score at all three levels and has great speed and quickness. Mundey plays shooting guard for Good Counsel and forms a nice tandem with Parker Robinson in the backcourt. Mundey proved his scoring prowess in DMV Live Session 1, averaging 18 points and hitting a game winner against St. Andrews, which capped a 28 point performance.

Malcolm Thomas, DeMatha ‘24

Malcolm Thomas (courtesy of Kameron Tomasetti)
  • vs St. Frances Academy: 27 pt, 9 reb, 2 ast, 1 stl, 5 blk
  • vs Paul VI: 13 pt, 7 reb, 3 ast, 1 stl, 7 blk
  • vs St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes: 13 pt, 5 reb, 3 ast, 1 stl, 4 blk
  • 15th in C-RAM, 1st in total blocks (16), T-11th in DSI, T-24th in ATR

Thomas had a difficult matchup in DMV Live Session 1, facing off against Patrick Ngongba of PVI, but Thomas did more than hold his own. Thomas had seven blocks in the game to go along with 13 points, including a couple of highlight reel dunks. While Meeks had DeMatha’s most impressive single game performance, Thomas might’ve been the most important player of the weekend for DeMatha. Thomas protected the paint and imposed his will on the other end.

Riley Jacobs, St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes ‘25

  • vs Fairfax Christian: 12 pt, 7 reb, 2 stl, 2 blk
  • vs Rock Creek – White: 22 pt, 10 reb, 2 ast, 5 stl, 6 blk

  • 17th in DSI, 9th in RPG, 3rd in total blocks (10), 13th in total steals (10)

Similar to Adegbenro, Jacobs does it all for St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes. Jacobs has great length, standing at six foot eight with a long wingspan, which he used to be a dominant rim protector for the Saints. On the offensive end, Jacobs does most of his work within 15 feet and gets a lot of second chance opportunities for the Saints with his effort on the offensive glass, tallying 15 offensive rebounds in DMV Live Session 1.

Xavier Pickett, Riverdale Baptist ‘24

  • vs Mount Saint Joseph: 15 pt, 3 reb, 1 ast
  • vs St. Andrews: 15 pt, 3 ast, 1 stl
  • vs St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes: 14 pt, 1 reb, 2 ast
  • vs Calvert Hall: 25 pt, 3 reb, 4 ast, 1 stl
  • 25th in PPG, 24th in 3PE

Pickett is a bulldog on the court for Riverdale Baptist. Pickett picks up opposing guards full-court and on the offensive ends runs the show for Riverdale. Pickett is undersized but uses his strength to attack down hill. Pickett also isn’t scared to let it fly from behind the arc, shooting 14-of-36 from three in DMV Live Session 1. Pickett has played a key role in Riverdale Baptist being the 2 seed in CHSL.

DMV LIVE 2

Kingston Price, Severn ‘24

  •  vs Good Counsel: 23 pt, 9 reb, 6 ast, 2 stl, 1 blk

  • 14th in PSP, 19th in 3PE, 7th PPG, 14th in APG

Severn lost the play-in game for DMV Live Session 1, but Severn made DMV Live Session 2 and Kingston Price capitalized on his opportunity to impress coaches from all over the country. Price is a combo guard who has great handle and can create off the dribble. Price averaged 21.3 points this past weekend, which was good for fourth best in the event.

Doyle Brown, Fairfax Christian ‘24

  • vs John Carroll: 24 pt, 3 reb, 1 stl, 1 blk
  • vs Riverdale Baptist: 19 pt, 1 reb, 2 ast
  • 5th in 3PM (12), 6th in 3PE, 11th in PSP

Doyle Brown is a sniper from behind the arc for Fairfax Christian, shooting 52 percent from three on 23 attempts this past weekend. Brown is vital for Fairfax Christian’s success as he is able to space the floor for guys like Elijah Adegbenro and Frank Siaca Bey, who like to attack inside. Brown was able to help Fairfax pick up a big win against a new addition to their conference, Riverdale Baptist.

Aidan Able, John Carroll ‘26

  • vs Flint Hill: 18 pt, 4 reb, 1 ast, 3 stl
  • vs Loyola Blakefield: 31 pt, 5 reb, 1 ast, 1 stl
  • 3rd in PSP, 4th in 3PE, 4th in PPG

Able proved to be one of the best scorers in the whole event, finishing second in scoring in DMV Live Session 2. Able had his second 30 plus point performance in DMV Live this past weekend against Loyola Blakefield. Able is just a rising Sophomore, which should make him an attractive option for college coaches.

Nathaniel Wooden (courtesy of Josh Campbell)

Nathaniel Wooden, Riverdale Baptist ‘24

  • vs Archbishop Spalding: 26 pt, 9 reb, 1 ast, 1 blk
  • vs Fairfax Christian: 22 pt, 5 reb, 1 stl
  • 16th in PSP, 13th in PPG

Wooden is an elite athlete who can score at all three levels. Wooden shot an impressive 59.5 percent from the field and 45.5 percent from three this past weekend, including two 20 plus point performances. Wooden should be a key contributor to Riverdale Baptist this upcoming year, who will be making a transition to a new conference.

Kris Johnson, Grace Brethren ‘24

  • vs St. Mary’s Annapolis: 21 pt, 7 reb, 1 ast, 2 stl
  • vs Archbishop Spalding: 9 pt, 10 reb, 4 ast, 3 stl, 1 blk
  • vs Loyola Blakefield: 15 pt, 11 reb, 2 ast, 2 stl
  • 7th in RPG, 14th in SPG, 12th in ATR

Johnson lived up to the billing as one of the more coveted players in the area, holding offers from Rhode Island, Norfolk State, Iona, and others, with his performance this past weekend. Johnson is a bigger guard who projects as a point guard at the next level. Johnson is smooth with his handle and can get by his defender at will sometimes. Johnson led Grace Brethren to a 3-0 record in DMV Live Session 2 with his effort on both ends.

Kobe Davis, Flint Hill ‘25

  • vs John Carroll: 19 pt, 1 reb
  • vs St. Maria Goretti: 24 pt, 3 reb, 1 ast, 3 stl
  • 15th in PSP, 6th in PPG

Davis only played in two games, but he was impressive in both of them, averaging 21.5 points. Davis is a physical guard who can attack the rim and shoot the three. Davis also uses his physicality on the glass, currently averaging 5 rebounds a game in CHSL.

Ashley Sims, Riverdale Baptist ‘25

  • vs Highland School: 10 pt, 7 reb, 7 ast, 2 blk
  • vs Archbishop Spalding: 15 pt, 15 reb, 3 ast, 2 blk
  • vs Fairfax Christian: 11 pt, 11 reb, 6 ast, 1 blk
  • 9th in ATR, 9th in FGS, 2nd in RPG, 3rd in APG

Sims is one of the more intriguing prospects in the area, standing at six foot eight, Sims loves to run the point in transition for Riverdale. Sims possesses unique guard skills for someone of his size and finished third in assists for DMV Live Session 2. Sims also is a monster on the glass and finished first in rebounds, averaging 11.

Frankie Mannino, Landon ‘25

  • vs Good Counsel: 19 pt, 5 reb, 4 ast, 2 stl, 1 blk
  • vs Christ School (NC): 10 pt, 4 reb, 3 ast, 5 stl, 1 blk
  • vs Potomac School: 22 pt, 5 reb, 2 stl, 1 blk
  • 18th in SPG, 17th in PPG, 17th in C-RAM, 4th in SPG

Mannino did it all for Landon this past weekend as he was the only player to finish top 15 in scoring and top 5 in steals. Mannino has great size for his position and is elite from the mid range. Mannino should be one of the better juniors in the IAC this upcoming year.

Elijah Flowers, Potomac School ‘25

  • vs St. Mary’s Ryken: 12 pt, 6 reb, 1 stl, 3 blk
  • vs Landon: 21 pt, 8 reb, 2 ast, 1 stl, 4 blk

  • 15th in PPG, 3rd in BPG, 17th in RPG

Flowers was one of the best defensive players this past weekend, finishing third in blocks, including four blocks in a win against Landon. Flowers was the star player for the Potomac School, who went 2-1 in the event. Flowers is a lengthy forward and is a rising Junior, which has drawn the attention of several division 1 programs.

Adrien Stevens, Bullis ’25

  • vs St. Andrew’s 10 pt, 5 reb, 3 ast, 2 stl, 1 blk
  • vs PVI: 12 pt, 3 reb, 2 ast, 2 stl, 1 blk
  • vs STAB: 12 pt, 5 reb, 2 ast
  • vs DeMatha: 6pt, 5reb, 8 ast, 3blk

Stevens continued to see his stock rise at DMV Live 1 and 2, picking up some big time power offers.  Stevens scored at all 3 levels and was all over the court defensively.  Stevens was efficient with the ball in his hands all weekend, shooting 53% and finishing in the top 20 in APG.

Neiko Mundey, Good Counsel ‘26

  • vs Severn: 22 pt, 7 reb, 5 ast, 3 stl, 2 blk
  • vs Landon: 23 pt, 2 reb, 2 ast, 1 stl
  • vs Bishop McNamara: 17 pt, 3 reb, 3 ast, 2 stl, 1 blk
  • vs St. Maria Goretti: 14 pt, 3 reb, 6 ast, 4 stl
  • 10th in PPG, 12th in SPG

Mundey was the only player to make Players of the Week for both events as Mundey finished top 15 in scoring, assists, and steals. Mundey should be a star for Good Counsel this upcoming year as he continues to gain more attention from college coaches, holding offers from Towson, East Carolina, and Old Dominion.
