The Cavaliers looked strong as they dominated from start to finish in a final score of 72-52 against the Patriot.

The Cavaliers controlled the tempo of the game from the jump with the Donovan brothers, Sean and Bryce, leading the charge. Sean Donovan led the team with 18 points in the first half, and Bryce Donovan was able to assert himself on the glass. David Gantomer also chimed in for the Cavs with a pair of threes.

Patriot was able to hang in offensively due to Kai Wilcox finding his stroke from behind the arc. Wilcox was very impressive with four threes in the first half. However, Wilcox’s effort wasn’t enough as the Cavaliers took a commanding 40-27 lead into half.

In the second half, much was the same for the Cavaliers as they continued to imprint their will on both ends of the floor. This time it was Owen Spurlock who led the way offensively for the Cavs. Spurlock was able to drive in the lane with ease and had a few pull up jump shots.

Ryan Corallo also impressed with an and-1 and a corner three as he finished with 9 points. Sean Donovan continued where he left off in the first half finishing the game 24 points and 11 total rebounds, leading to a 72-52 win for the Cavaliers.

Patriot will look to bounce back on Wednesday against the Cadets while the Cavaliers will look to continue their strong start on Thursday against the Vikes.
