After a tough loss last night, Forest Park bounces back with a win against St. Albans on Saturday, 86-68.

Forest Park established their presence down low from the jump, running their offense through Sophomore big man, Brandon Edozie. The Forest Park coaching staff made it an emphasis to swing the ball around the perimeter and look for Edozie down low. Edozie had a clear size advantage, which he used to get easy points from the low post and at the free throw line.

Landon Mills (‘24, G) and Elliot Hopes (‘25, G) had a couple of buckets to get St. Albans back in the game. Jaylen Willis (‘25, G) also added to the mix, hitting a big three to tie the game at 18-18 with seven minutes left. However, it was all Forest Park from there as Dekevion Moore (‘24, G) had a layup through traffic, sparking a 21-0 run. Moore and Ethan Salvatierra (‘25, G) formed a nice backcourt for Forest Park, scoring 14 and 16 points respectively and giving Forest Park a 47-24 halftime lead.

Jaylin Graham (‘24, F) had an and-1 to start the second half and Brandon Edozie continued to bully St. Albans defenders in the low post. Edozie was impressive with his footwork and touch around the rim, finishing with 19 points. Forest Park was able to extend their lead to 30 early in the second half.

Despite the margin of victory, St. Albans continued to play hard. St. Albans was able to make the deficit 17 at one point as Jaylen Willis, who has impressed all Summer League, continued to shoot well. Willis finished the game with 14 points and Elliot Hopes had a big game himself, finishing with 17 points.

Forest Parks three headed monster in Ethan Salvatierra, Dekevion Moore, and Brandon Edozie were too much for St. Albans, combining for 59 as Salvatierra earned Player of the Game honors. Forest Park also stifled St. Albans defensively, pressuring St. Albans ball handers with their full court pressure and forcing 14 turnovers.

Forest Park will play Brandywine Boyz later today and St. Albans will also play later today against the Bulldogs.
