Ryken started out playing their own fast pace, pushing the ball after every rebound which resulted in 14 points in the paint with this style of play. Grace Brethren got off to a bad shooting start while Ryken held it down in the paint, out rebounding Grace Brethren 24-27. Noah Rogers was a key scorer in the first half for Ryken, contributing 7 points on 3-6 shooting from the field. The game was tied at 16 at the 4:30 mark but Grace Brethren guard Noah Frayer (‘24) quickly scored a jumper to take their first lead 18-16. He then made a three on their next possession to put them up five. The game again was tied at 21 with 1:30 left in the half. Ryken gained a one point lead after a technical shot and led 22-21 at the half.
Within two minutes of play in the second half, the game was tied at 25. However, Grace Brethren turned it up a few notches and out scored Ryken 15 points to 8 to put them up 36-30 with a little over 10 minutes left to play. Ryken struggled in the second half, starting with their violations. They had many turnovers in the second half due to their traveling violations which limited their chances at scoring. On the other end, Grace Brethren overwhelmed Ryken with their shooting. They shot 16-30 from the field. Noah Frayer was phenomenal himself, scoring 12 points in the second half for Grace Brethren. Frayer looked like a shooting machine in the second half, going 2-4 from the three and 5-9 from the field. Ryken finished the game shooting 37% from the field and 11% from the three while Grace Brethren finished the game shooting 41% from the field and 33% from the three. Grace won the game 59-36.
Grace Brethren ended their season on a good note as they finished their season 7-2 and will look forward to the playoffs. Ryken broke 500 as they finished their season 5-5.
