Coming back from an 88-61 loss, Bethel Academy was determined to get back into the winning column in summer league play. Bethel came out of the gate swinging with an early lead. Bethel was able to get anything they wanted on offense early in the 1 st half. These offensive spurts were led by 2026 Andrew Maria. Maria was able to get to the basket easily, scoring the first few points of the game. Boys’ Latin was able to go on a run of their own. 2026 guard Ghavyn St. Pierre of Boys Latin was able to play at his own pace, creating shots for his teammates along with himself. The half ended with a buzzer-beater by Boys Latin, which gave the Lakers the momentum going into the 2nd half with a 35-31 Bethel lead. The 2nd half proved to be a dog fight as both teams continued to go back and forth trading baskets. Boys Latin was able to take the lead in the final minutes of the game, putting Bethel Academy on their heels in the closing minutes. Boys Latin was able to come up with the 63-60 win, led by Ghavyne St. Pierre with 16 points.
