With New Hope missing one of their leading scorers in Uriah Augare-Deal (11.3ppg) some players were going to have to step up their play, which is what we saw to begin the game after they started the game on a 11-3 run due to scoring from Messiah Manning, Jahmai Drayton, Israel Braxton and CJ DImbeng all contributed. The overwhelming size of New Hope with CJ Dimbeng and Jahmai Drayton seemed like a lot for Whitman to handle and became overwhelming at times due to the lack of rebounds the Vikes were receiving. As the press, New Hope had stretched their lead to 16 with the quick offense that they had been using all game. However, Whitman had begun due to some facilitation from Max Williams, who was finding shooters in transition to cut the New Hope Lead to 6. As Whitman settled into the game, it became evident their game plan was to slow down the pace of the game and get what they want on offense, especially with timely threes. Jack Willis helped Whitman pull away with this one, as Max Williams was the catalyst for this win with a near triple-double of 15/10/7.
