Seahawks (South River) vs DeMatha

As Capitol Hoops Summer League continued on, the Seahawks of South River faced off against DeMatha for an impressive matchup. DeMatha continued to express their dominance in the league with a 98-43 win, as South River faced a tough loss.

With the first half underway, DeMatha used their size to drive the ball and finish at the rim as the Seahawks looked for outside shots. With DeMatha incorporating a full court press early on, South River struggled to compete with DeMatha’s dominant and athletic pace, despite a couple strong finishes. As DeMatha stayed composed while working to create and play effectively as a team, South River worked on trying to shut down open drives to the lane as well as hitting their shots. With their fast transitioning and consistent ability to finish, DeMatha led at the half, 61-23.

As the second half started, South River continued to try and stay in the game. DeMatha used their size to continue to capitalize and kept their intensity, still pressing and keeping the game at a fast pace. 

With South River struggling and trying not to foul, DeMatha managed the game for the entire second half, sharing the ball and working for results throughout the whole team. DeMatha collected an impressive win by over 40 points, as the Seahawks of South River lost 43-98.
