Matt Colvin of Concordia Prep was a key player to watch coming into this game, shooting an efficient 50 percent from the field and 66 percent from beyond the arc. From the opening tip, it was a defensive battle, with the score tied 11–11 at the 7:58 mark. Both teams were getting to the free-throw line and converting, making it clear that the game could come down to which team would go on a decisive run.

At the midway point of the first half, the score remained tied at 15–15 with 4:20 to go. Concordia Prep did a good job of drawing fouls but couldn’t capitalize at the line to take control. Miles Denton helped give Crofton a slight edge with a strong and-one finish with 47.7 seconds remaining in the half. By the end of the first half, Denton led all scorers with 11 points.

Heading into the second half, the question was whether Concordia Prep could make a run and take over. They responded well, cutting the deficit to four points with 11:24 remaining. The second half featured a noticeable uptick in offense, as both teams began attacking the lane and converting high-percentage shots. Crofton maintained their edge by moving the ball effectively and finding open looks. Yamiel Trenche stood out with his unselfish play and court vision, using his speed to create opportunities for teammates.

With 6:12 left, Concordia Prep hit a three-pointer to take their first lead of the game. From that point, both teams battled back and forth, with the intensity ramping up down the stretch. At the 3:47 mark, it became clear this game would come down to heart and execution in the final moments.

Concordia Prep held on in a tight finish, defeating Crofton 60–56 to earn their second win of the tournament. Lamont Jackson led the way with 18 points, helping seal the victory in a hard-fought game.
