R.W.E Lions (Largo) vs Forest Park

Forest Park gets back in the win column with a dominant win against R.W.E. Lions, 83-65.

Roman Hendrix and Dekevion Moore led Forest Park from the jump, scoring 15 and 13 points respectively in the first half. Moore scored from all three levels while Hendrix dominated in the interior, grabbing four offensive rebounds in the first half.

The R.W.E Lions withstood Forest Park’s duo in the first half, keeping the game within single digits. Joseph Boggs was a big reason why the game was close, scoring ten first half points. Boggs did a good job of creating for himself off the dribble and stepped up in the absence of Cam Ward. Sean Johnson also added two big threes for the R.W.E Lions. 

However, Forest Park’s shooting performance was too much for the R.W.E Lions, shooting 51.4 percent from the field in the first half. Forest Park went into the half with a 42-29 lead. 

The R.W.E. Lions came out of the half scoring consecutive baskets, but Roman Hendrix answered with seven straight points. Forest Park didn’t look back, extending the lead to 20 at one point. 

Roman Hendrix finished with 25 points and 11 rebounds for Forest Park and Jaid McLendon Parker also had a big day on the glass, finishing with 11 rebounds. The rebound differential played a big part in the victory for Forest Park, who out rebounded the R.W.E. Lions 28-13. Jaylin Graham also had a good game for Forest Park, ending the game with 11 points and four assists. 

Forest Park will try to move to above .500 with a double-header on June 11th. The R.W.E Lions also have a double-header, but they will play on June 10th.
