This matchup between Potomac School and St. Albans delivered one of the most thrilling games of the day, going to triple overtime before a winner was decided. Two players to watch coming into the game were Zahir Cobb for St. Albans, who stepped up in their last outing, and Potomac School’s shifty guard Akim Iscandari.

Both teams came out with fast-paced energy, tied 5–5 at the 10:30 mark of the first half. St. Albans took a slim 4-point lead by the 7:05 mark, capitalizing on transition opportunities. Potomac School fought back late in the half, cutting the lead to 4 points with 2:37 remaining, thanks in large part to the interior presence of Logan Jones. His shot-blocking and energy helped energize Potomac’s offense.

St. Albans ended the half with a buzzer-beater to take a 1-point lead into the break. Logan Jones led all scorers at the half with 9 points, keeping Potomac within striking distance.

Potomac School started the second half strong, quickly grabbing the lead after a deep three-pointer by Mason Douglas. Logan Jones continued to be a difference-maker, drawing fouls and converting from the free-throw line. At the 6:20 mark, Zahir Cobb hit a key jumper to pull St. Albans back within 5. Potomac’s ability to find corner shooters and convert from beyond the arc gave them the edge throughout the second half.

With 1:47 left, St. Albans made another push, bringing the game within three on a tough turnaround jumper. Regulation ended in dramatic fashion, tied 49–49, sending the game to overtime.

After a tightly contested 3-minute overtime period, the game remained deadlocked at 55–55. In the second overtime, Akim Iscandari converted an and-one play and hit the free throw to tie the game once again, 57–57, forcing a third extra period.

In the third overtime, Potomac School finally pulled away to earn the hard-fought win. Logan Jones capped off an outstanding performance with 25 points, 1 block, and 3 steals, leading his team to victory.
